Difficult+Challenging+Smart+Adorable+Loving=ALI


She knows how to push my buttons. 


She is persistent to always get what she wants--when she doesn't get what she wants, she screams back at me and throws stuff--tough shit for her cause she isn't going to get what she wants--I hate being the bad guy and almost cave so many times but hold my ground--it is hard. 


She picks up on things very quickly and watches me like a hawk sometimes. 


She has the cutest smile ever and loves to cuddle when she is in the mood. 


It amazes me how different each individual toddler is. She has a unique personality--a little of me and a little of her dad. How does someone so little have such a defined personality? Craziness. Over 17 months, Ali has learned more things than I have in the last 5 years--I swear. I don't have any other word to use besides amazement. I am just amazed at how infants grow and develop into toddlers than little people so quickly. Tomorrow she is going to be talking back and telling me I am the worst mother ever. Those days can wait as long as they want. It is challenging enough right now. 


Any advice for stopping temper tantrums would be great! 


Note to all future parents: 
- Children are the most wonderful thing in the world
- Children are the most difficult thing in the world
- Children will love you unconditionally
- Children are awesome!

The Littles

Having two babies 11 months apart is not for the weak. The first few years are exhausting catering to their constant needs. They are now 2 and 3 years old and so much fun! Some nights I just sit and watch and listen to them. They play so well most times and have the best imaginations. My older two are just over two years apart and it is crazy the difference in how they interacted when they were younger compared to these two. Hormones

 Why do women have such wild hormones and endocrine system needs!? My cycles have been getting progressively worse and it is no fun. I started reading WomanCode by Alisa Vitti, Founder and CEO of FLO Living. I am only on page like 60 and it is soo soo good. I wish I would have done more research on what I was eating and how I was treating my body prior to 2020 and I wish I would have read this book like 20 years ago but today is a new day and I will start to take care of myself in a different way moving forward. I am fortunate to have this knowledge to be able to educate my children.  Anyways - just an emotional hot mess over here and things probably wont get better for a while....here's to hoping I don't end up in jail or fired :) ~Trying to Live the American Dream
